Walking and cycling is one of the most popular activities in Cornwall and no surprise given the diversity of our natural landscape and the prestige gained from Cornwall’s Area

Fentrigan is ideally situated for those of you that love to walk or cycle.

You can experience a delightful walk across the farm fields by using the trail of footpaths and stiles, leading down into the valley with wonderful coastal and country views, crossing over footbridges and streams to the beautiful lake. A sheltered haven to see wildlife and watch swallows swoop over the water, seating is available for picnics.

Bodmin Moor is just 20-25 minutes away and is one of the best attractions for walking and bike riding. Brown Willy (from Cornish: Bronn Wennili meaning “hill of swallows”). The summit, at 1,378 feet (420 m) above sea level, is the highest point of Bodmin Moor and of Cornwall as a whole www.bodminmoor.co.uk

If a beach walk is more your thing, we are 20 minutes away from “Widemouth Bay

There are vast amounts of beaches to visit and the closest being only 10 minutes away “crackington haven

The Camel Trail

The Camel Trail is a mutli use trail providing access to the beautiful Cornish countryside along a disused railway line between Wenfordbridge, Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow.

The Camel Trail is an 18 mile  traffic free, surfaced and virtually level multi use trail which passes through some of the most spectacular countryside in the south west

The Tarka Trail Bideford

Over 30 miles of the Tarka Trail is available to cyclists between Braunton and Meeth, using the old railways of North Devon. Passing through the largely unspoilt countryside

This lovely North Devon trail is situated only 35 minutes away from our cottages it makes a lovely romantic trip or family day out

Drakes Trail

The Drakes trail is a network of walking and cycling trails, It has something for all ages and groups

Drake’s Trail in West Devon is a 21 mile cycling and walking route linking Tavistock with Plymouth.

It gives you a full day of activity and all levels of fitness, this is a perfect way to enjoy the Cornwall / Devon views.
